Day 300 - Bus from Hue to Hoi An

Friday, May 3rd, 2019.

Yahoo! We have been traveling for 300 hundred days! I can not believe that we are almost at the end of our trip. Two months seems nothing compared to what we've already done, plus now we have got the hang of it! This last month was super pleasant because we didn't have to worry about looking for a place to stay. We have been staying in hotels that include breakfast and we make another meal out and we snack at night!

Today we woke up as usual around 7:30am and got ready for breakfast on the 11th floor. Now it was almost empty and much more pleasant. The hotel has a great breakfast with lots of selections. We ate breakfast and some of us made lunch for the bus. We went back to our room to finish packing. Daniel didn't want to leave. The poor thing said that he finally got a nice bed and slept well! I told him that our next hotel would also be 4 stars.

We walked to the tour office, which seemed further away now that we had our suitcases with us. They put us on a minivan that took us to the bus. We got settled on our sleeper bus, the one you lie down and have to take off your shoes. I was looking forward to this moment and read my book! The bus only took 3 hours and only made one quick break stop. I was actually sad because I was ready to nap.

In Hoi An, three small cars (Grab) refused to take us due to our big suitcases. We are all ready to toss those suitcases! Finally, Gregorio requested a bigger car that took us to our hotel called Lucky Leaf. We were disappointed to see that it wasn't the 4 stars like it was listed on Booking.com. It's not bad and it's clean so we were all fine except Gregory who went back to the reception. I stayed and napped for a long time. I'm still fighting a cold and a sore throat!

Gregorio ordered pizza for the kids and we stayed resting in our hotel. I'm assuming we have good internet because I haven't seen the kids at all! Hopefully tomorrow, I feel better to start touring Hoi An. We are planning to be here for 3 days and then, maybe go to Saigon or fly to Laos or Bangkok. We'll see, for the moment, is time to rest! Good night! Oh, we have to call Carol, it is her birthday and someone has to remind her!

I forgot to mention that the view during the bus drive was amazing. Lots of green vegetation, water, beaches, and palms. We also noticed more churches in the two cities that we passed.
