Day 270 - Back at Hotel Vista in Yangon

Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019.

Happy to be back to our "home", Hotel Vista. We had our usual late breakfast, closer to 10:00am, and then we went back to our room. No one wanted to do anything so we just sat in our hotel in the AC. After being on the beach for a week and with limited electricity and hot water, we were happy to have it all day.

Around 2:15 I walked to the beauty salon to get my hair dyed. It felt so good to be pampered by the owner and another girl. I don't know if they always take that long washing someone's hair, but I wasn't complaining. It was a delicious scalp massage. Two hours later, I thought my family was going to be waiting by the door starving, but no. I was the hungry one so I rushed everyone out. We had lunch around the corner from the hotel. It seems to be a very popular street full of food stands on the sidewalk and lots of cafes, bars, and restaurants.
We had a delicious lunch and we admired some of the art they had on their walls. On the back of the menu, there was a bio of the artist and the gallery where we could find his art. Sunshine was excited to go.

We went back to our hotel and Gregory checked the gallery, but it closed at 6. At the restaurant, they had told us it closed at 10:00! I asked if anyone wanted to walk in the park nearby, but zero sign of interest. I guess I could have gone alone, but with the heat that you experience outside, you just want to stay inside!
In the evening, I walked Sunshine to get boba tea for her and Daniel. It was a nice day to rest after having spent the whole prior day on the bus!

No photos today!
