Day 269 - Bus Back to Yangon
Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019.
Nothing special happened today. We got a ride from the hotel owner to the bus stop at the end of the block. I wanted to get there half an hour early which wasn't necessary at all. We left Ngwe Saung at 10:00am and made it Yangon at 7:00pm. It was a long ride. It would have been shorter if we didn't have to pick up passengers in different locations, two or three rest stops and then dropping people at different stops. In the end, we were anxious and tired to get to the terminal. Gregory called a taxi with Grab and we had to pay cash because our credit card got canceled and we are still waiting for a new one!
When we arrived at Hotel Vista, we were happy and relieved. It felt like coming home. Sunshine and I went out to get some boba tea and Gregory ordered "expensive" pizza to be delivered to our room. It tasted like heaven after only eating fried rice and noodles.
We were also thrilled to be able to take a hot shower!!!
[Gregory's note: the Blue Water Resort in Ngwe Saung was fine, but no hot water and limited electricity get a little boring after a while -- for those of us who are used to such things, anyway.]
