Day 228 - Fun with kids at home - Gregory visits orphanages
Tuesday, February 19th, 2019.
Today we wanted to stay home. Gregory went to visit two orphanages. I kind of wanted to go with him but I was tired from yesterday and really needed a day to catch up with laundry, writing and packing. We were going to go swimming at Mt. Meru Hotel with our friend Kristen but we didn’t go because it got really cloudy and it seemed like it was going to rain! Daniel checked the weather forecast and it predicted 80% chance of a thunderstorm.
We really regretted not going swimming because it was actually really hot all day. So after doing chores, Sunshine and I went for a walk. We came back at 3:30pm because I had promised Helen, our host that I would teach an English class to the law firm staff. I guess I forgot to explain that our apartment is owned by a fancy law firm right next to us.

I was nervous because I did not prepare anything, plus Helen had just informed me what to talk to them about only a few minutes before the talk. Anyway, when I got there, they introduced me as a Communication specialist and I started to feel even more nervous. Then as I started to talk I relaxed and I talked more about how to improve their communication skills and how to improve their English in a fun way. The staff was a little bit shy but they were good listeners.
After I finished the talk, Sunshine and I rode the bikes the office lent us. It was a beautiful ride but it was very hot and the bike seats were really hard. Also when we tried to cross a wood bridge, I hesitated moments before I crossed it and bruised my leg pretty bad. We decided to go back home after half an hour and then Daniel wanted to play ping pong. I told Gregory he should go play with him, but he was tired from having spent all day out visiting orphanages. I played with Daniel for about an hour and then we went back home to start dinner.
