Day 171 - Amman citadelle - Flight to Egypt
Friday, December 21st, 2018.
We spent the morning at home and after lunch, we decided to take uber to go see the sunset at the Citadelle. It was beautiful and we were glad we made it because we took some good pictures.
It was very cold and we were tired so we all wanted to go back home, except Gregory but since it was 3 of us and 1 of Gregory, we took a taxi back home. We had to negotiate. The first guy wanted 7JD, the second 5JD and finally, one guy agreed to take us for 3JD. Uber would have cost probably 2JD but we were on top of the hill and all the taxis were there!
We got back home, had tea, relaxed at home for a few hours. I never saw a text from our host that we were supposed to check out at 5:00pm. He had approved until 7:00pm but someone else booked last minute. Gregory called the taxi driver who was recommended by a friend from the Rotary to help him out. The taxi driver got lost and was late so we got nervous and we ended up requesting an uber. Of course, the two cars ended up arriving at the same time. We felt so bad for the taxi driver but uber had a bigger car for all our luggage. We made it to the airport in half an hour and everything else went very smooth. We got to use my sapphire card to go into the lounge and had a yummy dinner. The children were super excited and eating everything they could! Daniel even picked up extra cans of sprite for the plane. After we finished dinner, we hung around for a little bit and by then it was time to board. The flight was only for an hour and they fed us dinner. Of course, we were not hungry but we packed the food for breakfast for our new destination.
