Day 4 -Estoril

Today I woke up early and let everyone else sleep in until 9:00am. After that, I started to rush everybody when I realized we are no longer in the US and we are on vacations. In any case, if I didn't get everyone moving, we would never leave the house. We walked to the train station, waited in line to buy our tickets to Cascais.
When we got there, the helper told us that we had to go to another train station that actually goes to Cascais. We decided to walk not knowing that it was a little further away, but everything is ok when you are not in a rush. When we got there, it was crowded and we had to wait in line for half an hour to buy the tickets. I thought this is why I like to start early. We ended up leaving around noon with lots of tourists. We were standing most of the ride because the train was full. Another reason why we should start early, but no one ever listens to me. Gregory of course, did his research on the train and told us that Cascais is always full and expensive and that we should get out on a previous stop in a town named Estoril. Estoril is a cute beach town where locals go. It has a casino that looks like a castle. Other than that, there is not much to see- which is fine since we just wanted to spend a day at the beach. We took naps (at least I did), we went in the water, me about a minute because it was freezing! We all had a relaxing fun day. We walked in the bay, had drinks and ice-cream and then we took the train back to Lisbon. On our way back, we took an uber and for a minute I thought that was going to be the end of our trip. I'm glad we survived a crazy driver "Otavio" who got a bad review from Gregory. He never found our home, but luckily Gregory is very well oriented, and guided us home!
At night, the kids wanted to stay home. We fed them pasta and salad and Gregory and I went out for dinner. We had paella valenciana, which is with chicken. I wanted the one with fish but it was too stinky for Gregory. We walked to the plaza downtown and discovered how alive Portugal is. It was 11:00pm when we headed back home and people were dining and drinking! We found the kids awake!

Having drinks with a beautiful view!

They had beach ashtrays to take onto the sand!

We found it!
