Day 2 - The old town

We woke up early, had our breakfast and left around 10:00am to discover the old town in Lisboa. The city is alive, lots of stores, tourist, restaurants, cafes, monuments and churches. We saw the elevator Santa Justa also called Elevador do Carmo built by Raul Mesnier who was a student of Eiffel. We continued our walk and made it to the Arco da rua Augusta. We also saw the Roman cathedral. We sat there for a while to rest. The weather changed from yesterday, today it was sunny and warm. We decided to walk back home, maybe a long walk but this is the best way to discover the city. Gregory left to go to the Rotary meeting but came back disappointed that there wasn't any happening despite what the website said.
Lisbon really reminds me of Mexico, some of the streets look like the streets in Guanajuato, even the smell is similar (I guess pee smells the same in any part of the world). We met Gregory at Plaza Martim Moniz and we had kebab for lunch. After that, we walked home by now exhausted and ready for a nap. It is very nice that we have a base to go to and relax. I took a long nap and who knows what the rest of family did.
Gregory and Sunshine went out to watch the sunset and Daniel and I stayed home. I slept more. I think I'm still recovering from the jet lag and all the emotions of packing a whole house on the top of our attic.
I don't like to think of this adventure as long year one. We decided that it will be a one month adventure at a time!
