Day 156 - Tel Aviv - Rainy, pouring day at home
Thursday, December 6th, 2018.
Today we stayed home all day. There was heavy rain and lots of wind, and we just didn't feel like going out. It was a boring day for Gregory and me because we had to make a lot of decisions for the trip. Plus, our credit card number got stolen so our Chase credit card got canceled (when we needed it the most!). We needed to pay for all the airline fare tickets, for the visas for Egypt and for the upcoming visa entrance to Jordan! We spent long hours on the phone, and by we, I actually mean both of us because this time, I actually got involved and realized how much work Gregory is doing every time we enter another country!
We also had to deal with the wall and ceiling leaking. The Airbnb owner came and brought towels. He apologized but there wasn't much he could do. So on top, I had to constantly mop the floor. Not a fun day, but in the end, we did what we needed to do.
We had pasta for dinner and watched Karate Kid. It did not age well!
Oh, I forgot to mention that the kids had to move back from their apartment next door to ours because the host rented it out to some other guests. We got two because when we first moved into the original apartment, it didn't have a kitchen sink and a lot of it was under construction. The landlord told us that we could use both apartments. The kids were thrilled to have a place of their own, and we were too! However, that only lasted two nights. The good thing is that the landlord cleaned both apartments for us, the bad thing is that we had to move from one to the other while they cleaned. We could have gone out while they worked, but it was pouring and we had no desire to leave the house!
