Day 109 - Last day in Mostar, Bosnia

Friday, October 19, 2018.

Today we decided to hang around in Mostar. We kind of wanted to go Blagaj but we liked Mostar so much that we voted to stay home and relax in town. In the morning Sunshine finished and turned in her second month's homework. The kids hung around the apartment while Gregory and I toured the town. We went out for lunch to a traditional restaurant. No one was as happy as yesterday when we went back for crepes (they translate palacniki to "pancakes" here) for dinner. I had a nice meal of rice and beef!

This was a shopping mall that was destroyed during the war and hasn't been fixed or torn down.
Good thing the menu had the translation in English.

Mosque across from our hotel. We could hear their calls to prayer during the day and night. There were not as loud and long as there were in Morrocco.
We went our for lunch to a traditional Bosnian restaurant. How did we choose it? just by observing that many locals ate there, always a sign of decent prices and good food!

Same price for a huge beer and a small Diet Coke -- not fair! It cost $1.80 for a half liter in a restaurant.

Of course, Daniel ordered some kind of pastry with cheese. I don't remember the name.

I was very happy with cevap (beef) with rice. Although in the menu it said beef with potatoes and vegetables. Gregory also ordered something and they brought him something else. He joked that it was a communist restaurant where you order something and they bring you what they got!

Our waiter who didn't speak English at all.

The old bridge

We went back to the same restaurant for Nutella crepes for dinner!

Cute returant above another bridge.

We will come back to Mostar, that's how much we liked it and the prices too!
