Day 242- Moving in to our new place near Rishikesh

Wednesday, March 6th, 2019.

I slept more than 10 hours and I was still tired. I woke up very homesick and with anxiety level high.  I tried to rush everyone so we could go out to find a place to eat breakfast. Gregory told me that it was ok to order breakfast at the hotel because we were not going to find anything cheaper.

Well, it wasn't what we expected because we had read signs of what breakfast was suppose to be: eggs, cereal, toast. Well, instead we got rice with peanuts and vegetable sandwich made of mayo, green peppers and tons of onions! Not exactly our favorite but we ate it. We checked out and waited to hear back from our Airbnb approval. We chose a luxury apartment that looked modern. Everything looked great except that it is in the middle of nowhere, which in a way is what we wanted but I always worry when there is no food nearby because we don't have a car.

The best thing about Airbnb is our host. His name is Ravi and he is amazing. He came to pick us up (Gregory asked him) and on our way to his home, we told him that we needed to stop for food. He took us to a restaurant and waited for us, then he took us to an ATM to get money because none of the 3 ATM's that Gregory found worked. We also stopped for fruit. I got bananas, mandarin, apples, grapes, cucumbers, and tomatoes and paid only 250 rupees! (only $3.57)

We finally made it home after some driving and yes, the house is in the middle of nowhere but the view is beautiful and it is quiet. Ravi also has a helper who brought our suitcases upstairs. The place is huge. Each kid has their own bedroom with their bathroom. The common area has a ping pong table and two dining rooms. It is great, except for the fact that it doesn't have a kitchen! How in the world did it escape my eyes? I saw a photo of a refrigerator and I assumed it had a kitchen but no! The good news is that Ravi's wife makes amazing meals and there is even a menu and we can order food in advance. I love it, maybe Gregory not so much but what are we going to do?

After having lunch, I took a two-hour nap. Even Gregory napped by a bed that is by a window. Daniel is having a blast using a massage chair and Sunshine just watching her new addiction: Full House. Gregory spent most of his time researching what to do next. We had Ravi come upstairs and help us plan our 4 days in Rishikesh!

We skipped dinner, hung around the house, caught up with the blog, spoke to my mom and just relaxed! Now we are trying to decide whether to stay longer here or try another nearby town. Decisions, a decision every single day.

No pictures today!
